SUPERVISED MEDICAL DETOX
Dr. Kloda offers detoxification for people with drug and alcohol addictions. He offers at home drug addiction help. Medical detoxification is medically supervised withdrawal. In medical detox, a drug that is the same or similar to the one being abused is started at a high dose, then gradually tapered down to zero. Have you ever wondered, “what can help for withdrawing from drug addictions?”
Dr. Kloda is an expert in the outpatient medical detoxification of alcohol, opioid addiction (e.g. Oxycontin, oxycodone, Percocet, Vicodin, and Lortab), opiate addiction (e.g. Heroin and Morphine), as well as benzodiazepines (“benzos”) such as Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, and Valium. Dr. Kloda is particularly skilled with benzodiazepine medical detox using the Ashton Method. While there is no medical detox for cocaine and methamphetamine addictions, Dr. Kloda treats these addictions as well using the most current psychological treatments.
ADDICTION PSYCHOTHERAPY
Dr. Kloda also treats the psychological part of addiction. He does not only prescribe medications. Dr. Kloda provides motivational interviewing and addiction psychotherapy using the most current methods of treatment. He provides psychological treatment that is collaborative and non-confrontational. Dr. Kloda guides patients to find their own internal motivation for change and resolve ambivalence about drug and alcohol use. He also teaches ways to cope with cravings, as well as correct maladaptive thought processes and behaviors that lead to drug and alcohol use.
