CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT FOR DRUG AND ALCOHOL ADDICTIONS: Hello, my name is Dr. Stuart Kloda, and I opened a unique solo private practice specializing in Addiction Medicine in NYC. I completed a two-year fellowship in Addiction Medicine at the Addiction Institute of New York at St. Lukes & Roosevelt hospitals, an affiliate of Columbia University. I am board-certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. I offer discreet and confidential one-on-one treatment for working professionals in my office at Columbus Circle. I have flexible office hours that include late evenings. I offer non-12 step based treatment of addiction to drugs and alcohol.
AVAILABILITY: I am available by cell phone 24-hours daily on all weekdays and weekends. Voicemail messages are always returned on the same day.
SCIENCE-BASED SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT: I offer addiction psychopharmacology (medications), outpatient detoxification, and addiction psychotherapy for drugs and alcohol. My patient base consists of working professionals from NYC, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Philadelphia. Instead of going into an inpatient facility, detoxification is accomplished privately at home with scheduled office visits and phone follow ups. Patients are able to continue to work and remain highly functional during their treatment. Current addiction treatment can involve treating the biological part of the disease of addiction with maintenance medications. There are currently a number of different medications that can be used to treat addiction to alcohol, narcotic painkillers, and anti-anxiety medications such as Xanax and Klonopin.
COMPREHENSIVE INTEGRATED CARE WITH ADDICTION PSYCHIATRISTS AND ADDICTION PSYCHOLOGISTS: I offer one-on-one addiction psychotherapy and motivational interviewing that is respectful, motivational, and non-confrontational. This also includes diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions, which impact and overlap with addictions. I also have an integrated network of discreet addiction psychiatrists and addiction psychologists that I collaborate with. My integrated network allows for further diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. This allows for additional treatment of underlying emotional and psychological issues that can contribute to substance abuse. My integrated network also includes outpatient treatment centers that offer intensive non-12 step based group therapy four days per week. I have included a doctor of chinese medicine and acupuncture in my network as well.
CONFIDENTIAL AND DISCREET ONE-ON-ONE TREATMENT: My medical practice is truly discreet, without the intrusiveness of having an office filled with staff. This allows me to provide truly individualized care, tailor made for your specific needs, whether in my office, or in the comfort of your own home.
BOUTIQUE PHARMACY: I work with a privately owned pharmacy that delivers to my office. Leave with your prescription in hand at the end of your appointment.
SUBOXONE FOR ADDICTION TO NARCOTIC PAINKILLERS: I have a Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) practice as well. Suboxone is a medication taken by mouth for addiction to narcotic painkillers such as oxycodone, Percocet, Vicodin, and Lortab. Suboxone is also used to treat addiction to Heroin. Suboxone can be thought of as a much safer alternative to methadone. It is also more convenient in that a prescription is written by me, then filled at a pharmacy just like any other type of medication.
